Rescues and shelters are full of dogs bought from pet stores, dealers and backyard breeders. Reputable and ethical breeders are always ready to take their puppies back if their owners can no longer keep them. Dogs from reputable kennels are generally healthy, because all the breeding stock is screened for typical hereditary disorders. Both high quality and pet quality puppies are provided with basic obedience lessons and socialization to make reliable companions.

This is a not for profit organization that is supported by donations and small fees. They are paid during the adoption process. Money is needed to cover the expenses connected with care and maintenance of the dogs. In shelters, you may ask for advice on training and care. If you are considering adoption, fill out an application form. Then, you will be scheduled a home visit. You may adopt a dog that happened to be lost or abused by the previous owner and is now in need of love and support. You will be asked about your experience with the dogs and your attitude to dog ownership. Northern california beagle rescue will provide a photo of a puppy for adoption.
